| The game is a mafia game that is based on crime. There is a large variance of these crimes the result in a selection of rewards, mostly cold hard cash. Earning money isn't too hard. Although, the first 3-8 days can be very hard to get through and get a good footholding. This is helped with a 24 hour protection and no reward for killing new accounts that haven't ranked up. Once you've ranked up the game becomes considerably easier.
Earning money is so easy I personally view it as a problem. The money streams into the economy uncontrolably with no taxes and no restraints. This makes inflation a large issue. Luckily, inflation is held down when the best test out who is the best and billions of dollars is put into killing people.
Killing people is by far the best aspect of the game. For the most part, it's quite dull ranking up. You do the same crimes over and over with little change. When your friends go to war though, you can 10+ people in a conference on MSN coordinating who and when to shoot. Then for a couples hours, the statistics page, main forum, and I imagine most instant messages are all about you, why you did it, who helped, what happened, and everything.
It's very exciting.
Which brings me to the final benefit and consequence of the game. The social aspect. This aspect is uncontrolled by the administration and it has formed an oligarchy with properties that are of any value. When a new player steps in and wishes to get a property of value with some luck, they're quickly killed by a large group of players that has grouped together. Causing a bit of an outcast feeling for anyone who has not been accepted into this group. BUT as I mentioned, developping and forming your own group or being accepted into one is the most fun aspect of the game. Once you are in you're in forever, sometimes it's hard to even get out. This makes for some very loyal players that put a lot of time and effort into making the gameplay excellent. |
